Meet the Future of Broadcasting -- Vuze

Bittorrent sure has come a long way technologically and in a business sense. It's always been a good technology -- definitely the kindest way to move bits.

Even I never imagined the Internet could be this friggin' awesome. Now all I need is a 52-inch flat-screen HD monitor and a wicked sound card, and I'll have all the entertainment I could ever want, mostly for free, not that I mind paying a little bit for good stuff.

Once again, it's an open-source application leading the way. Vuze makes YouTube look like amateur hour. You get HD content distributed in a very 'net-friendly way. The big boys have seen the light, but anybody can spread their content this way. This is the future. Actually, the future will undoubtedly be even cooler -- they'll have some kind of virtual reality interface to the whole thing -- but there will be scads of super-cool content, and anybody can play! What could be more "free market" than that!
